Presentation

The Institut Curie organizes high-level training of postgraduate students interested in cancer research, from bench to bedside.

The dynamic, international, and integrated environment of the Institut Curie, which combines a center of basic and translational research with the Hospital Group specialized in oncology, offers a unique environment as well as synergies that allow us to offer original training, defined in collaboration with universities, partner organizations, and associated doctoral schools.

  • Students and PhD students studying science in partner universities and organizations (Université Paris Descartes – Paris V, Université Pierre et Marie Curie - Paris VI, Université Paris Diderot - Paris VII and Université de Paris Sud - Paris XI), the ENS and other institutions are trained in an efficient, multidisciplinary, and international environment. They benefit from training in how to use the latest equipment and learn from the expertise and know-how of researchers in a variety of fields, such as cell biology, molecular biology, developmental biology, oncogenesis, genetics and epigenetics, chemistry and physical chemistry, and bioinformatics.
  • Medical students at the Université Paris Descartes - Paris V and Versailles Saint-Quentin en Yvelines and interns aiming for a career in oncology benefit, during internships in the hospitals of the Institut Curie, from the experience of oncology experts specialized in treatment and supportive care. They are able to interact with the world of research and take advantage of opportunities to initiate or to continue “training for research, through research.”
