The Institut Curie’s technical facilities, which are divided between the three hospital sites of Paris-Ile de France region, are at the service of the patients.
State-of-the-art medical imaging facilities
- 6 digital mammography machines
- 3 gamma cameras for scintigraphy
- 1 gamma camera dedicated to clinical research
- 2 PET scanners
- 2 MRI machines
- 2 CT scanners
- 2 stereotactic tables for image-guided biopsy
- 1 planned cyclotron (2012)
Radiation therapy facilities among the most complete in Europe
- 9 linear accelerators
- 4 high-dose-rate and pulsed-dose-rate brachytherapy systems
- 2 simulators-scanners
- 2 dedicated scanners for scanography
- 2 tomotherapy machines
- 1 new-generation cyclotron with an isocentric gantry, for proton therapy (patients treated from second half of 2010) *
Biological Resources Centers
- Close to 60 000 samples, 31 000 of them of tumors, principally breast, gynecologic, gastrointestinal, ear, nose and throat, and ocular tumors, and 15 000 samples of associated nontumor tissues;
- 1 bank of DNA and RNA extracted from tumor and nontumor tissues;
- 2 serum banks.
