Postdoctoral Position in Mechanics of mammalian development (M/F)

The objective of the Curie Institute Research Center is to develop basic research and to use the knowledge produced to improve the diagnosis, prognosis, and therapeutics of cancers as part of the continuum between basic research and innovation serving the patient.
Context

Jean-Léon Maître, head of the “Mechanics of mammalian development” team (https://institut-curie.org/team/maitre), is seeking a postdoc with a strong interest in interdisciplinary research.
- The project
The candidate will study the morphogenetic events occurring before implantation of the mammalian embryo, using approaches at the interface between biology and physics. The candidate’s work will include developmental biology techniques with recovery, culture and genetic manipulation of mouse embryos; biophysical techniques such as high-resolution microscopy, optical tweezers and microfluidics; data and image analysis.

- Training and Skills required
Prior experience with mouse handling, molecular biology, advanced microscopy, and/or image analysis will be extremely valuable, but on-the-job training will be provided.
