8th Advanced Course on Tissue Immunity Immune cells in development, homeostasis, aging and pathology 2026
Webinar
Online seminar
Description
8th Advanced Course on Tissue Immunity – Immune cells in development, homeostasis, aging and pathology is a 4-day program focused on the role of immune cells in tissue development, homeostasis, aging, and pathologies such as cancer. It includes lectures, poster sessions, workshops, and networking activities, offering Master’s, PhD students, and postdocs from Latin America the opportunity to engage with leading experts. Travel grants are available for selected participants.
The “8th Advanced Course on Tissue Immunity – Immune cells in development, homeostasis, aging and pathology” offers four days of lectures and discussions focused on the immune and non-immune functions of tissue-resident immune cells, their roles in development and homeostasis, and their dysregulation during aging and disease, including cancer.
Leading experts in immunology will present the latest research on tissue development and immunity, inflammation, tissue–pathogen interactions, aging, pathological processes, and current challenges and opportunities in cancer immunotherapy.
In addition to the lectures, participants will have the chance to present their projects during poster sessions, engage directly with speakers through scientific speed-dating sessions, and take part in workshops on career opportunities, accessibility in science, project design, and the importance of studying both male and female tissue immunity.
This advanced course is open to Master’s students, PhD candidates, and postdoctoral researchers from Latin America and other countries.
As part of an international cooperation project between France and Chile, the organizers will provide up to 10 travel grants for participants from other Latin American countries and different regions of Chile.
