KHALED HUSSEIN

I hold a Master's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Grenoble Alpes, specializing in physiology, epigenetics, differentiation, and cancer. My research background has allowed me to gain experience in genome integrity maintenance and proteomics. I then worked as a research engineer at the Institute of Human Genetics (IGH) in Montpellier, where I studied the role of small RNAs in programmed DNA elimination in the ciliate Tetrahymena thermophila. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Sarah Lambert's team at the Curie Institute, where I am investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying replicative stress-induced chromosomal rearrangements in S. pombe. My research interests focus on genome stability and how alterations in these mechanisms can contribute to the development of human diseases.
