Zhi-Qian graduated from National Tsing Hua University (Taiwan) with a B.S. in Life Sciences with a focus on biophysics. During his master's degree in biophysics at the Department of Physics at National Central University (Taiwan), he studied the microrheology of the cellular cortex with atomic force microscopy. After graduating with the M.S. degree, he worked as a research assistant at the Academia Sinica (Taiwan) to study neuronal migration with fluorescence correlation spectroscopy and tensile force microscopy. Currently, he holds a PhD. student exploring how caveolin assists the transport of sphingomyelin from the trans-Golgian network to the plasma membrane, co-supervised by Prof. Patricia Bassereau and Prof. Christophe Lamaze.
