GeoMx® Digital Spatial Profiler by NanoString Technology: Application in cancer research and the first experiences of the Centre Jean Perrin team

Le 28 janvier - 12h-12h
Centre de recherche - Paris - Webinar
Online seminar
Description

GeoMx® Digital Spatial Profiler (DSP), launched by NanoString Technology (NST) in 2019, is a powerful instrument for high-plex, high-throughput in situ analysis of gene or protein expression. The DSP is currently capable of assessing the whole human or mouse transcriptome (18000+ protein-coding genes), a part of the transcriptome highly implicated in cancer (1800+ genes) or specific gene collections involved in cancer, immunity or neuroscience. With regards to proteins, the instrument can measure the expression of several to several hundreds of proteins, using curated panels for immuno-oncology or neuroscience, or customized panels for any research project in biology. The Department of Pathology if the Centre Jean Perrin acquired one GeoMx® DSP in July 2020. Dr. Radosevic-Robin will present her first results in protein expression differences between the recurring and non-recurring triple negative breast cancer and elaborate on the general value and possible application of the instrument in cancer research.
